The Essmoud Walnut Timber diffuser is a breath of fresh, forest-scented air. It feels like a curated piece of mid-century modern decor. The first thing you notice is the transition between the timber base, the internal components and the lid are seamless, and the finish is silky to the touch—sanded down to a fine grit that retains the warmth of the wood without feeling over-varnished or artificial. The walnut used here is exceptionally rich. It avoids that overly "red" stain often found in cheaper alternatives, instead leaning into a sophisticated palette of deep chocolate, charcoal undertones and muted amber. The grain is where this piece truly shines. It features a linear, cathedral-like flow that wraps beautifully around the oval form. Because it is natural timber, the "imperfections"—small swirls and tight knots—are present, giving the diffuser a unique fingerprint. No two units look exactly the same, which adds an artisanal value you simply can't get from a factory mold. My final verdict is that the Essmoud Walnut Diffuser is a masterclass in blending organic textures with functional tech. It’s an understated centerpiece that brings a grounding, earthy energy to any room, even before you turn it on. I used Royal Selangor pewter Star Wars chess pieces and hand blown charcoal vases to decorate the diffuser. The Oud scent flows organically throughout my home library. It is really stunning.
